Radio XXIV, side A, track 5: “Yeah, Yeah, Yeah” by Judson Spence

Judson Spence - Yeah Yeah YeahOh, Judson Spence, this is kinda embarrassing, but I think I forgot I recorded this one before.  I know, I know, I wrote a while ago that this was one of my favorite songs out of all the songs on all of the 70 tapes that I have.  And it is.  But I think when I recorded it this second time, I’d forgotten the magic of the first time.  Cut me some slack, Judson Spence, I’d recorded probably close to 500 songs at this point.  You can’t expect me to remember every single one, can you?  Well, maybe you can since I loved this song so much the first time I recorded it.  But think of it this way, Judson Spence, in a way, since I’d forgotten I’d recorded it the first time, it was kind of like falling in love with it for the first time all over again.  I mean, really, how many times do we ever get a clean slate with anything, so in a way this passed the test of true love, as arbitrary and made-up as that is.  I forgot about my love for you, and then fell in love all over again for the exact same reasons, like an amnesiac re-courting his one true love.  And that’s the kind of love you’re so joyously singing about anyway, so it’s just a testament to the power of this song. . .right, Judson Spence?

Whatever.  Don’t act so hurt.  Let’s just listen to this great song again and I promise I’ll remember you always from here on out.

“Yeah, Yeah, Yeah”

<awesome Judson Spence jam>

Standin’ outside your window
Been here all night long
June feels like December
‘Cause I’m out here all alone
If ya come down to the back door
I’ll climb down from this tree
Baby, you can grab your steps and take a walk with me, uh huh

Now that you’ve got me speechless, so much I wanna say
I can kiss my cool good-bye every time you look at me that way
I’d get down on my knees to make you understand
That you’re the girl
Who holds the heart insiide this maaan

Uh ho! Uh ho ho! Ooo ooo ooo
Now if you feel the way I do say yeah yeah yeah!

Uh ho! Uh ho ho! Ooo ooo ooo
Baby, if you love me, wanna say ya love me, say yeah yeah yeah!

<awesome Judson Spence jam>

If I could offer you heaven
Girl, ya know I would
I’d be your guardian angel
Baby, if I could
But if I have to wait a lifetime, girl, I will
Do anything ta show you that I love you still, yeah!

Uh ho! Uh ho ho! Ooo ooo ooo
Now if you feel the way I do say yeah yeah yeah!

Uh ho! Uh ho ho! Ooo ooo ooo
Baby, if you love me, wanna say ya love me, say yeah yeah yeah!

<awesome Judson Spence jam>

Uh ho! Uh ho ho! Ooo ooo ooo
Now if you feel the way I do
Say yeah yeah yeah!

Uh ho! Uh ho ho! Ooo ooo ooo
Baby, if you love me, say ya wanna love me, say yeah yeah yeah!

Uh ho! Uh ho ho! Ooo ooo ooo
Now
Tell ya mama
Tell ya daddy
Everybody ya meet
Everybody ya see

Uh ho! Uh ho ho! Ooo ooo ooo

Baby, if you love me, won’t ya say ya love me
Shout it out loud
Tell the world
Shout it out loud
Tell the world
Shout it out loud
Tell the world

Tell Mr. Postman
Yeah yeah yeah!

Uh ho! Uh ho ho! Ooo ooo ooo

Yeah yeah yeah!

Uh ho! Uh ho ho! Ooo ooo ooo

      • Okay, I am totally so obsessed with music. Okay, I have three different accounts
        http://www.last.fm/user/sara383
Spotify – Sara.ribar@gmail.com (I am new to that one so I don’t have many followers yet)
        and Hypem.com/staygolden

If you have those add them as well!

I look forward to your 8tracks mixes, let me know when you get one set up. I will be your first fan! Thanks for appreciating my mixes. Making them can be so cathartic sometimes (but so addictive, so shhh)

Oh, and I don’t know how into mood based music apps/websites you are but I know a couple. One is songza.com which actually has a concierge, like if you’re working out, or relaxing in the morning, you want a record geek to suggest your playlist, or a critic. It’s pretty neat. Then there’s stereomood.com which is exactly what it states.. you type in a mood, it gives you a playlist. However, I think 8tracks is way better on top of it’s games regarding the tagging.

        I am so excited!

        Best,

        Sara
