Oh, Creedence Clearwater Revival, of all the many songs I recorded off the radio as a kid, I only recorded one by you. And this wasn’t it. Both from the same album, though (I say that like I know what I’m talking about, but I just learned that like a second ago). I am really excited to know that BOB is going to be playing CCR on here, Creedence Clearwater Revival. There’s no way this is going to be the only song I hear by y’all, and I’m pretty ecstatic about that.
We’ve come a long way, you and I, Creedence Clearwater Revival. As a kid, I was so afraid of “Run Through The Jungle” that I wouldn’t listen to it on my record player. And as a result, I didn’t listen to your music for a lot of my youth because of that fear. More’s the pity. Frankly, this song would have scared me, too, with the imagery of that bad moon and your warnings of not going out tonight. And as great as your music makes me feel, as I’ve listened to the lyrics over the years, y’all are bleak as hell. And/or scary as hell. I guarantee you if I’d seen this movie as a kid, I’d never have spoken to you again, Creedence Clearwater Revival:
