Oh, Enuff Z’Nuff, so I was sitting here staring at the computer screen trying to figure out what to write about this song. Â I had a few ideas, most of them involving lame jokes about getting high. Â And then my wife happened to come over to my little corner where I type these silly things to give me a hug, and she looked at my screen and said “Enuff Z’Nuff?” Â And she sang the words “new thing”, a little hesitantly, but she was on the right track, and she looked at me for confirmation and I started singing the chorus and she joined right in and we sang the whole chorus in unison and just like that she remembered not just the words but all the little note changes for when you sing “hiiiiiiiiiiiiigh”. Â I had already loved this song because of the unique way you sing the lyrics, like you’re a beatnik snake undulating over bumpy ground, plus that great chorus, but now I love it because my wife and I had one of those moments that you know as it’s happening will be one of those memories that you’ll look back on and smile about. Â And this particular memory has its own soundtrack. Â Plus it just makes me love my wife even more that she knew this song in the first place. Â For all of those reasons, this song wins the coveted award of becoming one of the official theme songs of Mixed Tape Masterpiece. Â I know it’s pretty exciting, Enuff Z’Nuff.
