Radio 71, side B, track 6: “Found Out About You” by Gin Blossoms

Oh, Gin Blossoms, I was a junior in high school when this came out, but I feel like this one came out later in the ’90s when I was in college.  And I feel like I should have more memories of this song.  But I don’t, other than always thinking it was a great tune.  As with most of the songs on this blog, I didn’t really know most of the lyrics other than a few parts of the chorus, and yes, part of it was me not paying attention, but I’m going to hold you a little responsible since you weren’t exactly enunciating on this one.  Had I actually paid attention to the lyrics, well then, Gin Blossoms, I would most definitely have had this song on repeat.  Sitting outside an ex’s house and pining for them while they were dating someone else?  That was totally my jam all through the ’90s.  The important thing is that we’ve found each other after all this time.  Glad I found out about you.
