Oh, Kenny Loggins, you were the king of ’80’s soundtracks. “I’m Alright“, “Danger Zone“, “Footloose“, you had the market on catchy music that made the movie that much better, and also firmly let the viewer know, “Oh, this was made during the 1980’s.” And let’s be honest, “Nobody’s Fool” was probably the best thing about “Caddyshack II“, and let’s also be honest, this song made about as much sense as “Caddyshack II”. Don’t get me wrong, it’s a great song and classic Kenny Loggins, but I could tell you were under some pressure to capture the magic of the original good-time feel of “Caddyshack“. With lyrics like “back to the shack” and “you’ve got to learn to be the ball”, it was all a little too cutesy, and the other lyrics like “winds of wild insanity”, well, I just pictured you frantically scribbling lyrics into a notebook as the deadline for this song loomed closer and closer. But it’s all good, Kenny Loggins; if you don’t pay too much attention to the lyrics, this is another awesome Kenny Loggins tune.
