Oh, Sheena Easton, we’re not going to talk about the fact that this is a remix, because I’ve already made my opinion clear on remixes. Well, fine, I will just say that the original was great, so why mess with something that already worked so well? But whatever, it’s over and done with, and it gave me an excuse to record this one again since it was a version I hadn’t recorded yet, and there’s no such thing as too much Sheena Easton.
But what I really wanted to talk about was what the DJ said about you when he was introducing this song. That you’re from Scotland. I was not aware of this fact, Sheena Easton. Are you trying to kill me? Your sexiness is too much for me to handle as it is, but now I have to live with the fact that when you’re not singing such amazing songs, you’re talking with a sexy Scottish brogue? Good God, Sheena Easton! Have a little mercy.
I’m not much on traveling, Sheena Easton. My wife and I go to New Orleans every year, and I try to visit the fam up in Minnesota. I’ve been to the southernmost part of Canada a couple times, and we’re even flying all the way to Hawaii for our honeymoon. But since I’m one big stressball, even trips to Hawaii fill me with dread. BUT, one of the few places I’ve wanted to travel to outside of the U.S. is Scotland. And now I know why.
