Radio 71, side B, track 1: “Sexual Healing” by Marvin Gaye

Oh, Marvin Gaye, I didn’t hear this one until I was in college and had bought a compilation CD called “Totally Awesome ’80s” or something like that.  I was very lucky that the internet was not a thing while I was in college, because during college I had two serious vices:  alcohol and credit cards.  And one thing I tended to do when drunk was order music compilations off the TV.  I’d be drunk, watching TV and a commercial would come on for something like “Livin’ In The ’90s” or “Monster Ballads” or something similar and there would be so many great songs on it that I had to order it immediately.  Most of the credit card debt I’m still paying down includes a LOT of drunk dialing operators who were standing by.  Had Amazon been around at the time, I would have been bankrupt before I turned 21.  But one of the good things that came out of it was that I was introduced to a bunch of great songs like this one.  Well worth the insanely high finance charges(?).
