Radio 71, side A, track 9: “Heartbreaker” by Pat Benatar

Oh, Pat Benatar, I didn’t realize it until just now, but I was introduced to not one but two of your songs by The Chipmunks.  The first was “Hit Me With Your Best Shot”.  You clearly had to be popular if you had Alvin and company singing two of your songs on “Chipmunk Rock”.  I didn’t hear the original versions of either of your songs until I was in my teens or beyond.  The first song I ever actually heard by you was “All Fired Up” back in ’88 when I taped it off the The Hot New Music Hour one sunny Sunday afternoon.

Is this version better than the Chipmunks version?  Obvs, Pat Benatar.  But theirs is pretty damn good, too.
