Radio 75, side A, track 2: “You Really Got Me” by Van Halen

Oh, Van Halen, this is a nice way to end the year.  This version isn’t superior to the original, but as I was listening to it, I felt like I was at a New Year’s Eve party where the band was doing some kick-ass covers.

It’s been a helluva year, Van Halen.  It’s the year I became addicted to latch hooking.  Not something I ever thought I’d write.  It’s the year we said good-bye to KISD FM and said hello to BOB.  It’s the year I discovered Instagram.

Some other stuff happened, too.  Some of it was great, some of it really sad, some of it infuriating, and all of it involved me trying to figure out just where I fit in the jigsaw puzzle that is life.  I would say that when I look back, 2016 was a pivotal year for me in figuring out who I am and what I should be doing.  And one of those things is to continue listening to awesome music, one track at a time.  You totally get me, Van Halen.
