Oh, Al B. Sure!, you were the first to introduce me to the magic of R&B and that songs didn’t have to be all about a catchy hook or screaming vocals or heart-wrenching emotion.  Sometimes, it could just be all about being smooth (and/or smoov).  How I wished I could walk up to a girl and say “Can you feel it, baby?  I can.”  And there’s nothing to say that I couldn’t do that, but if I said it, I was sure to be laughed at.  When you said it, I imagined you got a different response.  And while this song wasn’t ever in my top favorite songs off the radio, to this day, even if it’s just in my head, if I see a pretty girl, I’ll purr “ggiirrl” just like you do in your song.
