Radio 67, side B, track 4: “Wherever Would I Be” by Cheap Trick

Cheap Trick - Where Would I BeOh, Cheap Trick, it’s a great question.  Wherever WOULD I be without you?  This is the last song I’d record by you during my teen years.  This one had been off my radar since then, but it’s a great tune, and it’s a nice little send-off for you and I.  Before I started this blog, I don’t know if y’all would have come to mind when someone asked me who my favorite acts were during this time.  And you didn’t have a lot of songs on the radio at the time, it’s true.  But the ones that you did have were some of my favorites of my teen years.  “Don’t Be Cruel” was fun.  “Ghost Town” was haunting and beautiful and I loved the hell out of it.  And “The Flame”, well, I’ve listened to that one about a million times give or take.  So where would I have been without your music, Cheap Trick?  Probably listening to a different band that I could mope around to.  But I’m glad you were in my life and that I’ve been able to rediscover how awesome you are.  It’s been fun, Cheap Trick.
