Radio 68, side B, track 6: “B.B.D. (I Thought It Was Me)” by Bell Biv Devoe

Oh, Bell Biv Devoe, I appreciate that you had a little honesty in this one.  Most songs of this nature just involve a lot of bragging about how great you are with the ladies, so it’s refreshing to hear you singing that you might not be as great with the ladies as you thought you were, you just happened to be with a really friendly lady.  I do think you need to look at your relationships, though, Bell Biv Devoe.  I mean, I love your music, but between this and “Poison” and “Do Me!”, I feel like maybe you don’t have the most realistic and/or healthy view of women.  Just sayin’.  Although if it inspires great music like yours, who am I to judge?
