Radio XXX, side B, track 7: “I Beg Your Pardon (I Never Promised You A Rose Garden)” by Kon Kan

Oh, Kon Kan, yay!!!!  I just got done eating a pretty hefty veggie burger and some fries, so I’m feeling kind of lethargic, so I wasn’t able to get my butt moving like I usually do when this, the greatest of all songs, started playing, but what I did do was to rest my chin in my hands and read the lyrics and listen to the music all with a big lazy dreamy smile on my face.  Unbeknownst to me at the time, but this would be the last time I’d tape this particular song of yours, Kon Kan.  It’s been a great run getting to revisit this one over and over and more importantly, getting to listen to it again.  And even though this particular track is marred slightly by some of that dreaded static, it still makes me unbelievably happy.  Thanks for justifying all the hours I spent in front of my radio recording music, Kon Kan.  You helped me keep the faith alive.
